In 2000, Talisman celebrated 25 years in the environmental consulting business. We thank our valued clients and co-workers for making this period so successful, and look forward to working with you over the next 25 years! The following provides a brief description of recent and current project work.

Talisman continues to work closely with American Bridge/ Surespan, the BCTFA, and resource agencies on the Lions Gate Bridge Project. Prior to start-up of construction, we developed a detailed Environmental Management Plan and now provide the environmental co-ordination and monitoring for upgrading work on the Stanley Park Causeway and the Bridge.

Over the past 2 years, Talisman has been a very active member of the project team planning and constructing the IKO Quarry and Roofing Granule Plant near Ashcroft. We are providing environmental planning and monitoring aspects with plant start-up expected this summer.

Talisman is working with the BC Ministry of Transportation and Highways on the reconstruction of Highway 5A/97C between Merritt and Aspen Grove. We are working closely with the Ministry and area ranchers in the protection of valuable grazing lands and upgrading of cattle handling facilities associated with the highway.

We are working closely with ABB on construction monitoring for the Island Cogeneration Project near Campbell River. Talisman has helped develop and implement sediment control plans, and site rehabilitation plans.

Our environmental planning and monitoring work at Morgan Creek, in Surrey, is now in its 7th year, with a world class 18 hole golf course and over 500 units of housing completed to date. At present, we are working on the construction of wildlife and fish habitat related to the expansion of golf facilities and additional housing.
