WRBB Floating Pontoons for Graving Dock at Bear Creek

The new WRBB floating pontoons were built in a temporary Graving Dock constructed at Bear Creek on the west side of Okanagan Lake. A silt curtain was maintained around the Graving Dock throughout construction (photo Mar. 6, 2006).

The old WRBB floating pontoons were demolished in the Graving Dock

The old WRBB floating pontoons were demolished in the Graving Dock and recycled as concrete rubble and steel

Graving Dock demolished

The Graving Dock was demolished in the spring of 2010. The alluvial sediments originally excavated from the site were used to refill the hole (photo June12, 2010).



Graving Dock site hydro-seeded

All disturbed areas of the Graving Dock site were hydro-seeded to a dryland native range mix, including bluebunch wheatgrass, rough fescue and lupine, in late September (photo Sept. 24, 2010).



The riparian strip along the reconstructed beach

The riparian strip along the reconstructed beach was planted to native shrubs and trees, including ponderosa pine, willow, cottonwood, wild rose, snowberry and red osier dogwood (photo Sept. 24, 2010).
